Desi Gallagher - AIA
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
NoBo Architecture is a local Waco firm, led by Principal Architect Desi Gallagher. Desi is a licensed Architect and has been practicing architecture for 15+ years in a variety of roles including design and management. She has worked on large scale projects with Community College Districts and Military (NAVFAC), guiding large teams through complicated approving agencies. She has the ability to navigate through entitlement and approval process, for multi-family projects. On the other hand, she has worked on smaller scale project, that provide intimate private spaces, that require a more relational type communication. At any scale, Desi believes relationships, communication, and working together as a team is key. As principal, she leads the team from conceptual design through construction of the project, and is engaged throughout the process. Desiree is a licensed Architect in Texas and California, and her experience is spread throughout a wide variety of building types from multi-family residential, commercial and industrial projects. Desi loves all things design, and her aspiration is to create thoughtful spaces that continue to tell stories, promote well- being and have a positive impression on all who encounter. When not at her desk you can find Desi running after her 3 little ones, on date night with the hubs, planting and propagating in her garden, or chilling making connections with friends and family.
Taurean Duffey
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
Taurean, a recent graduate from Texas State Technical College (TSTC) with a minor in Drafting and Design, hails from Waco, where his passion for community growth was nurtured. Viewing the world as a vast canvas, he believes everyone can leave their artistic imprint, whether they're architects, barbers, doctors, or zoologists. When not at his desk, he finds his true joy in creating memories with his wife and six children, homeschooling them and embarking on educational field trips. he delights paintball sessions with his brothers and contemplates taking up paramotoring as a new hobby.
WE DON’T JUST ‘DRAW UP PLANS’, WE TELL A STORY WITH ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN. THE STORY IS DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE TO THE CLIENT AND EVERY SETTING. WE BELIEVE IT’S ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS: RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR CLIENTS, RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE ENVIRONMENT, AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH MATERIALS. IT’S A PROCESS OF MULTIPLE INTERVIEWS TO UNDERSTAND AND LISTEN TO THE DESIRES OF THE CLIENT. AFTER SOLUTIONS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED, MANY TIMES OUR CLIENT WILL SAY ‘I WOULD’VE NEVER SEEN IT THAT WAY’ OR ‘IT WORKS SO WELL’ OR ‘IT FEELS GOOD TO BE IN THIS SPACE’, AND THAT IS WHEN WE KNOW WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL!
